Department of Public Relations and Publications (PRP) consists of two components: (i) Information and Pictorial Publicity Section (IPPS), and (ii) University Press. The University maintains well organized Public Relations and Publication Services for projection of the institution and to highlight the achievements of the University scientists, scholars and students in print and electronic media. A number of scientific journals, books, calendars, prospectuses, leaflets, contingent bills, and bulletins including University Annual Report are regularly published by the University Press. A Newsletter launched in the light of Higher Education Commission’s prescribed criteria is being published regularly. Campus News usually appears once a week to keep the staff and students updated about the University activities and other information like quotations, vacancies, Ph.D theses/synopsis defences, scholarships and tender notices etc. Many of these publications are in great demand among the general public and enlightened agriculturists. The PRP department of the University is responsible for issuing handouts, pictorial publicity regarding functions and ceremonies arranged by the various departments of the University. The PRP department is supposed to provide information about the infrastructure of University disciplines, which are being taught in the University, schedule of admissions in various degree programs and other information when it is demanded.
